Noted For: outfielder, member of the Pittsburgh Pirates (1946-53) and two other teams (1953-55). Led the National League in home runs per season for seven consecutive seasons (1946-52). Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame (1975). Announcer for the New York Mets (1962-2006).
